Ann and I made it safely back from visiting Alfred and Diana Zike in Athens, Greece and enjoyed being a part of the 7th Annual Mediterranean Christian Conference. It was held in Marathon, Greece and was another opportunity to visit with and learn from missionaries around the world.

As I write this article, Ann and I are preparing to leave on our trip to Athens, Greece to participate in the 7th Annual Mediterranean Missionary Conference. Please pray for us as we travel. Our objective is to participate in the conference and learn more about ways we can better serve Alfred and Diana Zike.

It is a wonderful time of year. The youth group is active in many daily activities and busily preparing for upcoming events. Our teachers and coordinators are busily preparing for Vacation Bible School.

Our service on Sunday night is focused on praying for our upcoming VBS and our continued work with our families and their children. The truth is that the greatest influence over children continue to be their parents. The church, however, is about the business of the spiritual growth of every member of the family.

It is impossible, to give complete reports on all the great things happening at Germantown. Here is my attempt to capture a few portions of what has already taken place and what is upcoming. Praise the Lord for what He is doing! What a gift to have a part in His work, wherever it occurs!

What a great day we had on Sunday! Our report and prayer for Ukraine was most helpful. We are able to see a little more of what the Malugas and so many others (as the Malugas hasten to say) are doing for the Lord in their work with helping people who are in need and in their studying with those who are willing.

We have so much for which to be grateful. We’ve been blessed to have visitors at all of our services. Mother’s Day was a very special day with a combination of our own visiting their mothers at their homes, and a few mothers coming here to be with their mothers. We’re always glad to have guests coming our way.
