Is God Too Demanding?

Ever feel like God demands too much of us?  Some have even rejected Christianity for that very reason.

I wonder how a man named Ezekiel would have responded to such a question. He is that Old Testament prophet that sees a vision of God – looking like a wheel in the middle of a wheel. He sees the vision - and is ready to do what God says. 

God says, Ezekiel, I want you to lie down on your left side – beneath a clay tablet – for 390 days. It will be a sign that Israel must pay for their sins – one year for every day you are on your side. Then, turn over – and lie on your right side for 40 more days. This will show everyone that Judah will pay for their sins for 40 years – one year for every day you are on your side. If you were Ezekiel would you do it?  Hmm.

It was a test of faith – and Ezekiel passed.
