What Is God Like?

Have you ever wondered what God is like? After all, we are supposed to be made in the image of God – so what is he like?

The New Testament tells us the story of a fisherman named John. He was chosen by Jesus to be one of his closest followers – and would eventually share some spectacular news. The apostle John first tells about the coming of John the Baptist – who would pave the way for the Messiah – Jesus. John says, no one has seen God at any time – but the son of God – that is Jesus – fully explains him. That is, when you read in the Bible about Jesus – you are reading about the exact representation of God. Jesus would say, '“If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father.”

• Is God merciful? Jesus was merciful. 

• Does God know what I am thinking? Well, Jesus knew what people were thinking.

• Does God want to save me? Absolutely – that’s why Jesus came. 

And that’s why he’s coming back.
