The ‘Not-So-Secret’ Power

One of the most difficult tasks in life is to make a decision and stick to it. That conviction of mind that translates into action is beautiful when it happens. But how do you get there?

The apostle Paul is such an inspirational character. Born and reared by parents of strong conviction – progressing at the head of his class in the faith of his parents – yet when he saw that he needed to change – he did so with spectacular success.

How did he do it?

  • Was he just such a strong specimen of personal character that he didn’t struggle?

  • Did he not care what his friends or family thought about his decisions?

When you read his writings in the Bible – that is – his letters to individuals and churches – you see evidence of one of his greatest personal resources. He repeatedly asks for others to pray for him. He often says that he is praying for others. His ‘not so secret’ power - was prayer.
