Want to Give Up?

Have you ever felt like giving up? Oh, I don’t mean throwing your whole life away – I mean just taking a long vacation – making it an extended vacation – and then staying a little longer? 

Sounds tempting sometimes, doesn’t it? Maybe you do need a short break – to refocus your priorities. But you’ll come back to the same issues. Maybe you really need is to be reminded that when you’re working for God – you are not working alone and God is interested in everything you do.

The Apostle Paul wrote a letter to a church at Philippi in which he said, “I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”

That may be a new perspective for us. When we’re tired, God knows we’re tired because He is working with us. When we’re engaged in a good work, He is working with us.

Sometimes a short reminder is better than a long vacation.
