Family Talk

It was a beautiful weekend in so many ways. We were able to come together with the same intentions of coming to the Lord in gratitude and submission, a house full of people dedicated to express honor, appreciation and praise to the God of all the living. We had visitors from many places near and far, and yet we still missed seeing our ‘regulars’ in their regular place. Of course, the reason we missed the regulars was that a large group (well over 100) were in Nashville at the Lads to Leaders convention. Their morning worship service was a good experience for many of our young people, and apparently, many across the country. We will hear more about their experience this Sunday night as Andy McElyea speaks to us in the worship service, then leads us as we hear the specific actions of our young people and adults. You’ll see the many children who worked diligently in the various aspects of the Lads to Leaders program. We’ll see you Sunday night!
Would you like to walk in the steps of the Apostle Paul and visit fascinating parts of Greece? As you know, we have a good group poised to go to Greece August 31-September 11. We had to sign up early if we wanted to go on a 4 day cruise to Ephesus and Patmos. That part of the trip is now full, but we have opened up the Greek ‘land tour’ for those who said they would like to stay only in Greece. I have a brochure that explains the ‘reduced price’ and the itinerary for every day between August 31 and September 7. I will be glad to talk with you about optional tours if you’d like to stay in Greece for a few extra days. We will have a group meeting on Sunday, April 19, at 6:36 pm in our library for those who are going and those who are wanting to know more about the trip. The deadline for signing up (and paying) for the land trip is June 1. Have any questions? Please give me a call as we want as many people as can go to have that possibility. Call me.
