Family Talk

May God bless us all as we serve Him. It has been several weeks of spring break for many of our families. These special days of spending time together, whether going on a vacation or enjoying a staycation are wonderful. The memories, whether wonderful celebrations or momentous catastrophes are a part of the storybook of our lives that we will remember for many years. I hope you are making some wonderful memories today - or enjoying reliving those memories in your prayers. God blesses us always!
I’m already looking forward to our Sunday night service, when Sundar Maddala and I will be sharing a report of our recent trip to India (I think we are both recovered enough to give it ample reflection) as well as a dream or two for the future of that particular effort. This was my third trip to India. I had new experiences and made new relationships which I will never forget. In addition I had some moments I did not expect that I had never before experienced. We will, however, try to stay on topic and try to convey what the Lord is doing in India and ways in which we can help.
I do hope you have marked your calendar for June 14-18, when the VBS will take place in our building. If you need to change the dates of your out of town trips, we kindly ask that you do just that and invest your time in finding some little children in our Vacation Bible School that you can encourage. If you’d like to help, just respond to the calls that are surely approaching. If you can come to the building and find some child enjoying learning about God, and just smile, or wave, or give a ‘thumbs up’ of approval. I, for one, am growing tired of the prediction of Artificial Intelligence becoming a necessity in each of our lives - to the point that we are letting AI dictate what we say, think or do. Instead of Artificial Intelligence, I recommend that we pursue Spiritual Intelligence. Instead of trying to create computers that think like man, let’s persuade humans to think like God. Wouldn’t that be great?
