Family Talk

We are so proud of our graduating seniors. The reception that was held in their honor was tremendous and we had numerous people who came just to be a part of it. We wish for them the very best and we pray that their faith will continue to grow, bloom and blossom into the mature adults that we all would love to see. I pray that they will remain faithful to the Lord’s church and to His calling. Perhaps that keeps them right here with us. Wouldn’t that be great? But wherever they go, they’ll have a part of us in them. We’ve loved seeing most of them grow up right here and we long to see them back as frequently as possible.
Oh, I can feel it in the air. Can’t you? It is the sights and sounds of Vacation Bible School. It won’t be long until we will have plenty of children gathering in our building for 5 nights in a row. We’ll have four days of VBS and then one day of celebration (a “block party” of sorts) where we will simply enjoy eating together and watching the children playing together on our property. The dates are June 14-18 and I hope you have it marked on your calendar. Tonight, we will be worshiping in our fellowship hall, then learning about the events occurring in our Vacation Bible School, having the opportunity to volunteer for various roles in the activities, then sharing ice cream together. It will be a good night of coming together. We look forward to seeing you here.
Of course, you do not want to miss our Summer Series on Wednesday nights. They begin on the second Wednesday night in June through the month of August. We have many dedicated ministers and teachers planning to be with us. We hope that you plan to come and be a part as well.
I certainly am enjoying the ‘early mornings’ I’m sharing with 18 adult Christians from Ukraine. We have the privilege of praying together and studying from the book of Jeremiah. I mostly have enjoyed when we have discussed the situation they are facing in Ukraine. I close our sessions every morning with a renewed appreciation for what they are facing and how faithful they are. Praise God for all of them!
