A Divine Gift for You

Okay, here’s that familiar game of word association.  I’ll mention a word – you get a mental picture.  The word is…Heaven.

Think for just a minute… what picture immediately comes to mind?

• Did you think of a mansion? If so, how large was it?  What was it made of?

• Did you think of rest? If it was rest, how were you resting… and what made you so tired?

Both these pictures are named in the Bible as indicative of what Heaven will be like.  But they can’t fully capture Heaven. Let me remind you of a more important picture – a picture that will sustain you through all the problems of life – work problems, people problems, financial pressures. It’s the picture of seeing God as He is – and being with Him forever.  The Bible describes God as loving, merciful, caring, and compassionate.  His desire for us to live with Him for eternity was so great that Jesus gave Himself for you. 

A Divine gift for you. Now, that’s Heaven.
