Start Praying

What does a good prayer look like? How does it sound? Do you need a deep resonant voice – or eloquent, flowing words – or a tremble in your voice in order to be heard?

You know the Bible is filled with prayers – some short – some lengthy. But the physical delivery of the prayer never seems to be the significant factor. In fact, Jesus said that prayers designed to impress people don’t impress God.

Here’s some good news for you.  Daniel, the same man that was sent to the lions den and emerged alive, prayed a lengthy prayer to God.  In fact, while he was still praying, the angel Gabriel appeared to him in a vision and told him that as soon as he started to pray, the angel was sent to Daniel.  As soon as he started to pray – before he even said the words!  What if Daniel had not started to pray?

We speak to God through prayer.  He speaks to us through His word.
