Thank You

How hard is it to say “thank you?”

There is an enormous difference in being grateful and expressing gratitude. And yet, how motivating it is to have someone express genuine appreciation.

• Athletes know it – when the stands erupt in wild cheers of approval.

• Children know it – when parents tell them privately how much they care for them.

• Parents know it – when others brag on their children.

And it cost no money – only a little effort.

There is a story in the Bible that tells of Jesus healing 10 leprous men. Were all ten grateful? Undoubtedly. But only 1 person came back to Jesus to say, “thank you.” And Jesus knew it. The next time you feel grateful to someone – take the time to say something. Just a simple statement that will lift their spirits and make their day. It doesn’t cost a dime – just a little bit of your time.

By the way, Jesus will know it.
