This Must Be Important

How many notes and letters have you written today? I know –it may be a text message or quick e-mail. But jotting down important memos, even if on a sticky note, seems to keep it on our minds and reminds us of important dates, events or people. Before we became so high tech people used to write important memos on their hands thinking surely they wouldn’t miss it.

The Bible certainly qualifies as an important written document. More than a book – it’s a library of books – a collection of letters, poems, essays, biographies, and historical documents written to share the most important information regarding our purpose in life and our future after we die. It’s not a casual read, but it’s absolutely the best investment of our time.

By the way, do you know what is important to God? He left us word through the prophet Isaiah. God says to his followers, “See, I have written your name on the palm of my hand.” Must be important.
