Happy Thanksgiving! Well, we learned that having one service on Sunday morning introduced a few changes that will require a couple of weeks to work out, didn’t we? Most of all, it was just an adjustment to our schedules. That is true for all of us. So, I hope that we are all considerate and thoughtful as we work together to do our best in coming to worship and then joining our Bible classes.

The times of worship at Germantown have changed-but not the focus, the nature and the form of worship. One service allows us to gather and see one another! We will now have the ability to look around and see our brothers and sisters worshipping with us. This will also give us the ability and the motivation to ‘catch up’ on current events before and after our worship services.

Kirk Brothers from Heritage Christian University will be speaking at all of our services, including the adult Bible Classes, which will meet in the auditorium on this day. The theme for the day is “Come to the Mountain.” He will be speaking of the ‘mountains of the Messiah’ in which Jesus speaks powerful lessons from various mountains.

Our one-day Gospel Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 16. Kirk Brothers from Heritage Christian University will be speaking at all worship services and our adult Bible classes. Our theme is “Come to the Mountain.”

Sunday, November 16, will be a big day for us. Kirk Brothers, President of Heritage Christian University and preacher of the gospel will be with us for our one day meeting. Kirk will be speaking at all of our services, both the early and the late morning services on that day, including the adult Bible Classes, which will meet in the auditorium.

The autumn weather is here - and doesn’t it feel great? The cool mornings are followed by warm afternoons which calls for us to prepare for whatever happens during the day. This is a good indicator of what we are doing in life. We are trying our best to prepare for whatever comes our way.

We have been involved with Shared Blessings for many years. You may not know the history. We were exploring ways to help those in the city—perhaps even supplying meals as they are needed.

The Area-Wide “Our Journey of Faith” was outstanding. I don’t know as if we’ve had a better time of coming together. The singing and the sermons were ‘spot on’ as to the fact that we are all leaning on the guidance of God our Father for the way in which we live and serve. Thanks to all who ‘pitch in’ to make sure that everything goes as planned.
